Gardening In The City 2019 – Broken Daylily Still Managed To Bloom

I accidentally severed my Daylily’s flower head that is about to open yesterday. Instead of throwing it away I placed it in a medicine measuring cup filled with water.

At 6:37 this morning it looked like this,

Here is how it looks at noon today.

I enjoyed the bloom all day long!
